Claire Donniere

Claire Donniere

Claire Donniere is the author of sapphic fiction: killer romances and riveting mysteries. After almost three decades in America, the English language remains a mystery to her. There’s an L in salmon! Why is no one pronouncing it? And don’t get her started on homophones and twelve tenses (which, in her opinion, are nine tenses too many).

Dealing with frustrated and condescending clients as an insurance agent gives Claire plenty of ideas about how to kill people—on paper. Consequently, she enjoys plotting romances with the random dead body thrown in for good measure.

Claire spends her nonworking hours walking, reading, and writing. Occasionally, she’ll act out scenes from a WIP with her savvy cocktail-hour collaborator/amused landlady.
