Three of her novels—First Tango in Paris (2014), Hidden Dreams (2021), and Untethered (2024)—are based on her travels in France and Southeast Asia. And her third, Autumn Spring (2015), which focuses on the romance between two older lesbians in small-town East Texas, was a finalist for a Lammy. Her book of poetry, In and Out of Love (2016), won a Goldie.
